Little Miracles Foundation (LMF) is a Canadian nonprofit organization committed to helping individuals and families in developing countries. Since its launch in 2009, and with the goal of linking people in need with those who can help, Little Miracles Foundation has made positive changes in people’s lives through the implementation of several projects. These include:
Hearing Aid Donations – With the support of Canadian hearing aid companies, Little Miracles Foundation donated hearing aids to more than 50 people – from 4-year-old children to 87-year-old adults in Lima, Peru – who never thought they would have a second chance in life due to lack of resources. Today, many of these people are able to work, continue their education and integrate into society.
Hogar Caritas Felices – Thanks to donations from individuals and a Canadian school, LMF was able to offer financial support, clothes and food to this shelter to help them continue caring for raped and abandoned 2- to 16-year-old girls.
Sagrada Familia – Thanks to the support of parents and children of a Canadian preschool, LMF was able to donate books and school supplies to the La Sagrada Familia shelter, which looks after abandoned kids who were exposed to drugs, rape and prostitution in extremely poor areas of Peru. La Sagrada Familia provides these children with shelter and education.
Shanty Towns – LMF has distributed food, clothes and other necessities to families in poverty-stricken areas in Manchay, Pachacamac- Peru; where no previous assistance has been offered (due to the difficulty of reaching the people in these areas).
LMF is improving the quality of life of children in need by implementing educational projects that help them learn new skills and improve their self-esteem, creative thinking and personal development. In this regard, in 2015, LMF is determined to bring educational classes to kids between 2 and 10 years old who are living in extreme poverty.
To continue to bring support and relief to communities in need in developing countries and develop projects that will help people sustain themselves, we need financial support to expand our operations. Below is the list of expenses we need to maintain our operations and continue to improve the quality of life of people in the small communities most in need:
